Terms and Conditions

1. Payment

1.1 Payment is made in advance by credit card. Credit cards we accept are Visa and Mastercard.

1.2 You may only purchase from Svan’s online shop if you are aged 18 years and over. Although we sell children’s products, these are intended for purchase by adults only.

1.3. Unless otherwise stated, within the EU all prices shown at the Svan online shop are inclusive of VAT (25%) and delivery fee. Outside the EU there will be no VAT added.

1.4 For deliveries outside the EU, freight, custom and/or import fees may be added depending on the country you want your goods delivered to. It is the customer who pays these fees.

1.5 The goods remain the property of Svan AB until payment in full has been made, and no credit card withdrawal cancellations after purchase have been issued to the credit card.

2. Right of Return

2.1 Customers have the right to return goods according to Swedish and EU law. Customers must inform Svan AB of their intention to return goods within fourteen (14) days of the date the customer received them.

2.2 Return shipping charges shall be paid by the customer.

2.3 Returned goods must be unused and undamaged. This applies unless the product has been destroyed or altered due to circumstances that cannot be attributed to the customer.

3. Delivery

3.1 Purchased goods, assuming they are in stock, will be delivered within seven (7) work days.

3.2 Delivery will take place at the delivery address specified by you during the order process. Where delivery is being made by parcel courier, delivery will only be made to the point of entry to the delivery address.

3.3. If delivery cannot be made due to the nature of the premises, because there is insufficient access or for any reason that is not within our reasonable control (including your absence at the time of delivery), you agree to pay our reasonable additional fees for storage and redelivery.

3.4 The delivery agents are not required to unpack or construct items as part of the delivery service.

3.5 Once the goods have been delivered to you, you become the owner of those goods and from that point they will be at your risk (This means you will be liable for any subsequent damage, loss or destruction).

3.6 On delivery you will be required to check the condition of the packaging and whether the correct numbers of packages have been delivered. If there is obvious damage or items are missing or incorrect, you should record this on the delivery document. Missing items and damaged/incorrect items will be replaced and delivered free of charge. You must let Svan AB know about any damaged, missing and/or incorrect goods within a reasonable period of time after you have had an opportunity to inspect the goods.

4. Warranty & Complaints

4.1 Svan AB warrants its products to be free from substantial defects in workmanship and material under normal household use in accordance with the assembling instructions for two (2) years following the date of purchase.

4.2 Svan will, at its discretion, replace or repair any item requiring service.

4.3 This warranty shall not apply to damages arising from neglect, accidental damage, or commercial use of the product.

5. General

5.1 Where you buy as a consumer, these Terms of Sale will not affect your rights under law which cannot be otherwise excluded. For more information contact your local citizen’s advice bureau.

5.2 In the event that one or more of the terms set out in these Terms of Sale is held to be invalid by a competent authority, the remaining terms shall continue to have effect and you will still be bound by them.

5.3 Personal information, such as your contact details, that you provide us during the order process will be kept confidential in accordance to Swedish data protection laws and will not be sold or otherwise forwarded to a third party.

5.4 This agreement is governed by Swedish law. Each of us agrees to bring legal actions relating to these Terms of Sale only in a Swedish court.

5.5 We reserve the right to change the Terms of Sale at any time. Any changes to the Terms of Sale will be effective for all new orders placed after the change is published on the Svan webshop website. You should check the Terms of Sale before each order; they may have changed since your last visit.
